I've been looking for places on the internet to post my short stories. I've considered places like fictionpress, deviantART, and writing (dot) com. The first two options are both very popular but both of their communities seem to be obsessive and reactionary. I could neither give other members of the community honest criticism nor could I trust them to comment truthfully on my own works. As for Writing, I am entirely too lazy to use its posting interface effectively.
I'd like to think I'm good at writing and this blog is a just a reason for me to practice my craft more often than I have been recently. What comes most easily to me is fantasy, but over time I'd like to move more into horror and drama as I gain more experience. I do have experience with both kinds of critics. The ones that only insult or tell me I'm the most awesome thing ever which annoys me near to death. I have also experienced people who know how to critique. It hurts good to know what I need to fix.
